About

Being involved in the journalism world, you would think I wouldn’t be opposed to having my photo taken, but really I am shy about my own photo. In real life, I have no problems speaking in front of 100 to 500 students-easy as a decision to buy another pair of cute summer sandals! But here’s the best shot I could come up with today.

I love design prints, photo illustrations, infographics, and techno toys which are supposed to make my life better, work faster, smarter. But I also love writing about students I meet, wonderful educators who inspire me, and just being the natural optimistic cheerleader for everyone out there.

I thought here would be my corner of the world to put my thoughts out there, and hopefully, my partner could help illustrate or contribute. Even though he knows nothing about Facebook (doesn’t want one), Twitter (0% knowledge), and I have to keep defining “What’s a blog?” to him, his contributions to my color combinations are so powerfully different.

Thanks for hanging out and checking us out. I look forward to making many new connections and friendships across the ocean of blogs and the sea of tweets.

    • I like your blog on Louboutin shoes! A girl can dream, can’t she? I was born and raised on an island in Hawaii, but have traveled extensively. Seems like a lot of our friends are relocating here, and I’m the only one who wants to see what it’s like to “live” someplace else other than paradise.

  5. Hey there Newbie Spikey!
(for your info, a Spikey is the term for folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.

Blogging since June 2013, my aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations, opinions and lighter-hearted stuff thrown in for good measure.

I normally keep to a couple of posts a day, maybe 3-4 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

Thanks again and hope you have a great day…

  6. bwahahahaha.

    i mean. aloha Ponikaa Girl

i can understands that hesitant perspective regarding facebook and twitter. . . . altho i may yet give in. . . . to one of them. and i have a little knowledge about blogs. altho it’s more like what i want to do on my blog than anything else.

still. . . . regarding a self photo (not necessarily even a selfie no less). what photo ever shows all of our being? even the writer’s typical headshot. . . . wouldnt the hand that writes tell us almost as much? okay, given that photographing the mind isnt really an option. yet. ha. yeah. i like playing with the visual. even the visual me. and my self images (selfies or otherwise) rarely are the standard. so i say, way fun on your photo. it tells me as much about you as it does. and that is a lot of fun. as i see it the imaginative mystery is often as fun if not more so than the known. . . . imagine and mystery on.

cool and fun on too. aloha. rick. p.s. where did you say these chocolate covered fortune cookies are again? ha. and more fun on again. aloha. rick
